Issue 012: The quiet reset

A MORE DELIBERATE NEXT 90 DAYS

We’re coming up on the end of the first quarter of 2026 already. For me it’s been a blur full of excitement and humility.

A quarter in any real terms means nothing, but these manufactured timeframes can help serve as a moment of regrouping. A moment to pause, a moment to reconsider your plan, tactics and daily actions.

A time to look honestly at how you’ve been living.

The last 90 days weren’t random

They were shaped by our small and repeated choices.

How you spent your mornings. What you reached for when you felt stressed. Where your attention went throughout the day. What was avoided. What was leaned into.

These are the patterns that shape our lives, and those patterns tell a story. Not of the story you planned but, the story you actually lived.

This isn’t about judging yourself. It’s about noticing without judgement or the pressure to immediately fix everything.

Just seeing clearly:

  • What’s been giving you energy

  • What’s been quietly draining it

  • Where you’ve been aligned

  • Where you haven’t

In a sea full of stats, statistics and metrics. This is the honest human felt information we need to inform how actually make our lives look more like our plans.

So before Q2 begins, try this

You don’t need a full reset. Just a small, deliberate one.

1. Keep what’s working

There are things you did well these past 90 days.

Moments you felt clear. The times you were most present. The times you felt on track. Build around these moments.

2. Gently remove what isn’t

You don’t need to be cut everything overnight, but you can start to loosen your grip on what’s not serving you. Noise. Distraction. The habits that don’t sit right anymore.

3. Choose a few things to do with intention

Don’t choose ten goals. Just a few areas where you want to show up more deliberately. Your health. Your work. Your relationships. And then return to those, daily, with awareness.

Because a year doesn’t change all at once

It changes in stretches like this. 90 days at a time. Choice by choice.

Final thought

You don’t need a dramatic reset. Just a deliberate next step, and then another one after that.
